Rocket attacks kill U.S. troops in Baghdad
Shiite militants from the Mahdi Army are suspected of killing three U.S. soldiers in two separate rocket and mortar attacks in Baghdad on Sunday. More than 30 others were injured.
One strike targeted the heavily fortified green zone, killing two of the soldiers and injuring 17 others.
The second attack was on a U.S. army base, killing a third soldier and wounding 14.
These attacks come as joint U.S-Iraqi forces battle Shiite militias in Sadr City, a district of Baghdad.
