Racists blamed for fatal attack on Azeri
A man from Azerbaijan has been stabbed to death in Moscow, in what police believe may have been a racially motivated attack. Several unidentified youths assaulted the man not far from his place of work in the south of the capital.
So far in 2008 at least 23 people have been killed in racist attacks in Russia, compared with 67 over the whole of the previous year.
Last month a group of teenagers were arrested for their involvement in racially motivated killings. Police say the teenagers may have been behind more than 40 attacks.
