Quake hits Hawaii

An earthquake hit the U.S state of Hawaii, causing widespread destruction. The 6.6 Richter scale shock caused rock slides and left many homes and shops without power.
In Honolulu, traffic lights were out and some businesses had to close. The governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, said the extent of damage to buildings and roads was enough to issue a state-wide disaster declaration.
