PACE President urges Belarus to end its 'isolation'

The President of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly, Rene Van der Linden while in Minsk for diplomatic talks has made the statement he is certain Belarus will eventually join the international body.

Following discussions with the Belarusian Foreign Minister, he said PACE hopes the dialogue with Minsk will continue.

Van der Linden called on Minsk to end isolation and enhance its political life.

He is also expected to meet opposition parties, members of the public, and religious leaders.
