Obama’s hometown fails in Olympic race
Chicago and Tokyo have been eliminated from the 2016 Olympic bid, leaving Madrid and Rio in the running. Obama's hometown of Chicago was a favorite in what has been called the closest race for an Olympic venue yet.
RT caught up with Chicago citizen Annie Shapiro, who saluted the IOC decision, saying that the Olympic money would now be invested into the city’s infrastructure and social sector.
