New blast hits Beirut

At least eight people have been killed and ten wounded in an explosion that rocked Beirut's seafront.

The incident occurred in the Manner neighbourhood near an amusement park and a military sporting club.

The explosion is the latest in a series to hit Lebanon in the last three weeks, as Lebanese troops battle Islamic militants in a Palestinian refugee camp in the northern part of the country.
