Moscow holds last rehearsal of Victory Day parade

Tanks, helicopters and thousands of soldiers have gone through the center of Russia’s capital, as Moscow gets ready for the Victory Day parade.

The preparations for celebrating the 66th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany are in full swing.

Some 20,000 troops and hundreds of units of military hardware of the Russian Armed Forces made their way through the streets of Moscow to the Red Square carrying out the final rehearsal.

Five Mi-8 helicopters also took part.

This was the third full-scale rehearsals ahead of the annual parade, which traditionally gathers soldiers, officers, and top-rank officials on May 9.

Watch the Victory Day parade in Moscow live on RT, starting 10.00 Moscow time (06.00 GMT) on Monday.
