Military jet crashes killing pilot
A Russian Army Sukhoi SU-25 airplane has crashed in the Russian Far East. It's thought technical problems caused the accident while the plane was firing during an exercise.
The pilot died after failing to eject.
All Sukhoi SU-25 jets belonging to the Russian army have now been grounded.
The SU-25 nicknamed “frog foot” is a close-air support aircraft, which went into service at the beginning of the 1980s.
Each costs around $US 11 million to produce.
