Three militants killed in Russia’s south

Three militants have been killed in a gunfight with police in Russia's southern Republic of Ingushetia.

Officers tried to stop a car in a village near the republic’s capital, but those inside opened fire on them.

The suspects fled to a house where they tried to hide, and were killed in the gunfight that followed.

There have been no reports of casualties among police or civilians.

Earlier, also in Ingushetia, Russia’s law enforcement officers detained the suspected organizer of a terror attack in the neighboring republic of North Ossetia.
