Kyrgyzstan to get a one-party parliament?
Ak Zhol has won 49% of the votes, with about 90% counted. The main opposition party Ata Meken is trailing way behind them with only about 9% and the Social Democrats come third with about 5%.
The result means that the Ak Zhol party will have a massive share in the new parliament, with Ata Meken and the Social Democrats most likely missing out on any representation.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe criticised the election, calling it a missed opportunity to meet the OSCE commitments.
