Japanese premier is against lifting ban on arms sales to China

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is in Berlin for talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Permanent seats for both Japan and Germany on the UN Security Council was the key issue on the agenda.
At a joint press conference after the meeting Japanese Prime Minister spoke on the 17-year old EU ban on arms sales to Beijing. Shinzo Abe said lifting the embargo would have a negative effect on the East Asian area.
