Iraqi Vice-President announces five-year reconstruction plan
The Iraqi Vice President, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, has unveiled a new 5-year reconstruction plan for Iraq at the UN. The government of Iraq is due to meet with the UN again to receive a response from the international community.
The reconstruction plan, the Iraq Compact, outlines a series of economic, political and social goals for the country to meet, in return for receiving international help.
