France gets Première Dame: at last
French President Nicolas Sarkozy has married his girlfriend, the former supermodel Carla Bruni. The mayor of Paris officiated at the ceremony, which took place at the president's official residence in Paris – the Élysée Palace.
The couple tied the knot in the presence of family and close friends.
Sarkozy is the first French leader since Napoleon to marry while in office.
