Four killed, six wounded in car bomb attack in Dagestan

Four people were killed and six injured when a car bomb exploded in the southern Russian republic of Dagestan.

Police spokesman Magomed Tagirov said late Wednesday that the car was parked near the Karavan cafe in the city of Khasavyurt, the second largest city in the republic. Those killed or injured were inside the café when the bomb detonated.

“Three bodies and seven wounded people were delivered to the hospital. One person later died in the operation theater,” Interfax quoted medical workers as saying. “All injured are civilians – visitors of the cafe and its staff.”

Investigators are now working at the scene.
