Food-store explosion kills four

Four people have been killed and six more injured when an explosion ripped through a food shop in the Russian north Caucasian republic of Ingushetia. Police believe a gas leak could be to blame.

One of the victims of the explosion in the town of Nazran is a 14-year-old girl.

Three of the injured are in hospital and are said to be in a serious condition.

The explosion caused the collapse of the building and rescuers are working at the scene trying to clear the debris.

A criminal case has been opened.
