Engineer sentenced to 4 years prison for fatal Russian roof collapse

A Russian chief engineer has been sentenced to 4 years prison following the collapse of a swimming pool roof in Russia's Perm region in December 2005. Another specialist from the company is on the wanted list.
The court in the Chusovoy city found Aleksey Shvetsov, from UralPromExpert, falsified the results of a report into the building's safety. As a result, the owner failed to have essential repairs carried out at the swimming pool.14 people, including 10 children, were killed and 11 were injured when the roof caved in.
