Duma deputies call on Turkey to cool gunfire on Iraqi border

The Vice-Chairman of the Duma Committee for International Affairs, Zelimkhan Mutsoev, made this brief announcement:
“The deputies of the State Duma call upon their colleagues in the Turkish Grand National Assembly to objectively weigh all the possible negative consequences of a counter-terrorist operation across the border in Northern Iraq, and to show their innate wisdom, farsightedness and patience.”
The statement was supported by 338 deputies in Russia's Lower House.
Over the weekend, Turkish villages near the Iraqi-Turkish border were struck by rockets and artillery from Iraq's largely autonomous Kurdish province.
