5 dead in gas explosion in Russia's Ryazan region

Five people have died when a gas explosion rocked an apartment block in the Ryazan Region in Central Russia. The blast occurred in a 2-storey block and destroyed 6 apartments.

A 5-year-old child is among the victims. The residents were evacuated from the building.

Rescuers are working at the site clearing rubble. An investigation into the incident is underway.
