Chlorine said cause of China poisonings

Leaking chlorine from a chemical plant is thought the cause of suspected poisoning which has put 164 people in hospital in northern China, Reuters reported.

The leak happened on Sunday evening in the city of Yinchuan. Official statistics record more than 80 incidents affecting the environment this year. Most have been caused by emergency situations at chemical plants.
