Facebook & Instagram down: Temporary service outage plagues US, Europe
Thousands of Facebook and Instagram users worldwide, mostly on the east coast of the US and parts of Europe, suffered temporary service outages on Monday. The company has apologized for the “inconvenience.”
The social media giant had issues for about 90 minutes starting at 4:48pm EDT, according to Down Detector web service. Over 13,000 users reported troubles logging into their accounts or suffering a “total blackout.”
Many users immediately took to Twitter to check what was going on and express their distress.
