Russian search engine among Europe’s most used
Published 12 May, 2008 06:12 | Updated 12 May, 2008 10:12Yandex, Russia’s major search engine, has reached third place in the ranking of Europe’s most popular websites.
The March 2008 European Search Rankings was compiled by comScore, a renowned global internet information provider.
Yandex, with its 2.2% of searchers, has managed to come over both Yahoo! and MSN that have come in 4th and 5th, respectively.
Predictably, Goggle topped the ranking. Nearly 80% of Europeans use the search engine.
Auction site eBay has hit number 2.
Rambler, another popular Russian web portal, has also been listed among the top ten.
