Great Wall to produce cars in Russia
Chinese car manufacturer, Great Wall, will start production in Russia’s Alabuga Free Economic Zone this year. The new enterprise is expected to turn out 50,000 cars annually.
An application to produce cars has already been forwarded to Russia’s Ministry for Economic Development and Trade. According to Great Wall’s officials, production equipment has already been ordered from plants in China, Japan and Germany. The company has also announced plans to sell in Europe as well as Russia.
