Fiat signs up for Tatarstan production
Italy’s Fiat will produce light commercial vehicles with the automotive arm of Severstal.
The deal is worth an estimated $150 million. Production of the Ducato – priced between $15,000 and $20,000 – should begin in Tatarstan by the end of 2007. The vehicles will be destined for Russian and foreign markets.
