RT’s Election 2016: Worldwide will be co-anchored by three news and commentary heavyweights. Larry King is one of the world’s most legendary interviewers and a host of Larry King Now and Politicking with Larry King. Veteran news anchor Ed Schultz, host of RT America’s nightly News with Ed Schultz, will co-anchor election coverage. Jesse Ventura, former Governor of Minnesota, will round out the all-star lineup.

Also featured will be the hosts of RT America’s signature shows such as Watching the Hawks, The Big Picture with Thom Hartmann, Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp and On Contact with Chris Hedges. The broadcast team will examine important state-by-state results, but plans on reflecting on the election through a global lens.

“We’ll go worldwide with the impacts of this election,” says Ed Schultz, host of News with Ed Schultz. He added: “We understand the American vote for President does not just affect America; it’s a vote that ripples across the globe.”

“Walter Cronkite is no more,” said Ventura, in reference to how mainstream outlets typically cover elections. “Now it’s all about advertising money and ratings points, not about what’s actually going on in the world.”
