Dramatic video from Russia captured the moment police saved a distraught foal, who had become stuck in mud after a traffic accident led to it breaking loose.
Video from the Stavropol Region shows police, with the aid of the foal’s owners, working tirelessly to pull free the animal.
Police were at the scene following an accident which led to the foal and her mother breaking free where they encountered the deadly sludge.
The foal's mother watched the drama unfold from a safe distance.
Safely pulled from the mud, the foal was reunited with its mother and transported back to its herd.
