Billboard smashes into biker during Beijing rush hour (VIDEO)

The day started in the worst possible way for one Beijing commuter when strong winds caused an advertisement board to be ripped from its rigging, knocking the motorcyclist off his bike.

The freak accident was captured by a vehicle dash cam on Friday and shows extremely blustery conditions wreaking havoc on a Beijing city street.

It occurred during rush hour with the unlucky biker being upended by the flying metal board, footage posted online by China People’s Daily showed.

It’s not clear what injuries the man sustained. The man was not the only person struck by an object during the high winds.

A pedestrian suffered head injuries in the Haidian District after they were hit by debris, report the South China Morning Post.
