Two men who dumped their drunk, naked friend outside in temperatures of three degrees Celsius (37.4 Fahrenheit) when he was snoring loudly face manslaughter charges after the man died as a result of the 'prank'.

Both men, aged 28 and 35, were “annoyed” with the loudness of the snoring following a night of drinking in Siene-Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris, on November 26. So much so, they decided to relocate him outside where temperatures were almost below freezing, according to France Bleu.

The 35-year-old victim had been drinking more than his four friends and “fell into a deep and unconscious sleep,” a judicial source told AFP on Monday.

The group reportedly stripped the man naked to apparently prevent him from drink-driving after the heavy night, the source added. As part of the prank, his face was also drawn over “for laughs”. Two members of the party eventually left the apartment, investigators were told.

The remaining two friends were “annoyed” by the loud snoring of the drunken victim and decided to carry him outside into the courtyard. The victim was found dead early on the morning of November 27.

A coroner’s report has not yet been carried out. Both men are facing manslaughter charges for failing to rescue a person in need of help.
