The Pentagon is reportedly searching for WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange. Officials hope to pressure him to not publish leaked government documents.

22-year-old Army intelligence specialist Bradley Manning from Potomac, Maryland, allegedly downloaded 260,000 State Department diplomatic cables and uploaded them to WikiLeaks. The documents contain highly classified information. If these diplomatic documents are made public it could be embarrassing and possibly destructive to American foreign policy.

Manning reportedly bragged to a hacker that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other high level government officials were going to have a “heart attack” when the information is published.

Manning is also accredited with the leak of a video released by WikiLeaks showing an American helicopter attack in Baghdad in 2007 that left 12 people dead, including two employees of Reuters.

Assange is set to speak on a panel in Las Vegas at a conference for investigative reporters on June 11th.
