Russian plans to deploy a military contingent in the Arctic poses no threat to security in the area, but NATO interference could be dangerous says Lev Voronkov from the Moscow State University of international relations.

If there will be a military confrontation in the Arctic zone between the coutries which claim a piece of the pie, the possibility of finding a common solution will be drastically reduced and will simply lead to deadlock, says Lev Voronkov.
