The World-renowned animated series, the Simpsons, will be engaged in peace establishment in the Middle East. The producer of the sarcastic series, Al Jean, plans to send the Simpsons to the Holy Land in the next year.

“I think that Christians, Moslems, and Jews will be united by the common hatred of Homer. Perhaps, this is the only matter they will agree about,” Jean says.

The series often draws images of orthodox Jews. One of its characters is the rejected son of a rabbi, Herschel Krastofski, more commonly known as Krusty the Clown, the host of a favorite kids TV show. In one of the series, he has been elected to the Senate and initiated a law allowing planes to only fly over the houses of poor people.

FOX broadcasting company intends to buy two more Simpsons seasons which will make it the longest-running series on American TV.

The Simpsons, created by director Matt Groening, have received 24 Emmy awards for achievements in the TV sphere in the 20 years of its existence.

In 2007, “The Simpsons movie” came to big screens. The release prompted the Jewish Outreach Institute to suggest using the film to somehow “encourage participation in the Jewish community”. They recommend using the Hebrew-dubbed version released in Israel.
