Federal authorities have indicted the former boss of the US private security company Blackwater on weapons charges, along with four others.

Gary Jackson, who left the company last year, denies the charges, which stem from a 2008 raid by federal agents who found 22 weapons.

According to prosecutors, company officials forged documents to cover-up gifts given to the King of Jordan to secure lucrative contracts.

RT contributor Wayne Madsen says the move could signify a change in CIA policy.

“The interesting aspect is that under Gary Jackson's regime at Blackwater the company was dealing with the very weapons he was found with, including AK-47,” Madsen said, adding that a lot will “possibly come out.”
