Ahead of Barack Obama’s visit to Moscow in a week, the US House of Representatives has sent its commission to do the groundwork for the visit.

The US missile defence shield planned for Eastern Europe and the much anticipated nuclear reduction deal between the countries will be on the table.

During the two day visit, the commission members are also expected to meet with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Last week, the top US military commander, admiral Michael Mullen, was in Moscow for talks with Russia’s chief of staff.
