At least 11 people have been shot and one person reportedly killed after a shooting occurred at an annual block party next to a playground in Brooklyn, New York.

The incident took place around 11pm local time in Brooklyn’s eastern neighborhood of Brownsville, where residents gathered at a recreation center for the annual Old Timers Day. Thousands of people are said to have attended the event, and the shooting started just as the party was about to end and the guests were leaving.
