Terrorist suspect Sayfullo Saipov, 29, was indicted on Tuesday on 22 counts relating to terrorism and murder charges in a US federal court in Manhattan. The indictment states that Saipov provided material support to the Islamic State, and also includes various offenses that carries the death penalty if convicted. Saipov is being held without bail, and his attorney has not yet responded to the indictment. Saipov killed eight people and injured a dozen others on October 31, when he rammed a stolen truck into civilians on a New York City bike path.
