In celebratory fashion, LGBT activists marched in protest to Vice President-elect Mike Pence's home in Washington, DC. Condemning the former Indiana governor's positions on marriage equality and religious freedom, the "gay dance party" crowd poured into the streets, where they were escorted by police.

The street of Pence's house was reportedly blocked off for security reasons, ahead of Friday's inauguration. Protesters danced and marched for at least a mile to get near the residence.
Ahead of the march, Werk for Peace founder Firas Nasr spoke to the crowd, saying they would "send a clear message to Daddy Pence."
"We do not tolerate bigotry and hate in our country," Nasr said. "Mike Pence has been vehemently opposed to LGBTQ rights and equality," citing his positions on conversion therapy, "passing a draconian law in Indiana that is anti-LGBT," and "not supporting marriage equality."
"We are here, and we will dance!" he added.
