A 25-year-old man in US city of Beatrice, Nebraska, was arrested this week for allegedly possessing a spoon with meth residue on it - while entering Gage County courthouse.
Joshua Weeks was headed to court to face previous charges of shoplifting and no proof of car insurance when he triggered the metal detector.
Weeks initially said all he had left in his pockets was a Sharpie marker, according to court documents reported by the Beatrice Daily Sun, but then he took out a black glasses case and offered to throw it away.
A deputy noticed the handle of what appeared to be a kitchen utensil sticking out of the partially-opened case and asked to see the suspicious item. Inside were syringes, plastic baggies, and a metal spoon that the court document says tested positive for meth.
Weeks was immediately arrested. No word yet on what the hell he was thinking.
