Tensions continue to mount between Russia and NATO over Ukraine. RT’s newest sister channel, the German language RT Deutsche has taken another hit. Last week the channel’s Youtube page was blocked for hours after going live for the first time. Under alleged pressure from Eutelsat, a European satellite operator, has removed RT DE from its platform. RT’s Chief Executive Alexey Nikolov says the company is prepared to fight the removal and that he believes RT is being targeted because of its success.
