Strong snowstorms in the Far Eastern region of Kamchatka have kept some voters from polling stations. Workers at two power stations and a gold mine have been completely cut off.

Local authorities say they have all the supplies they need, but none of 248 people will be able to cast their votes.  It's the worst snowfall in the region for six years.
