The United Russia party won 315 out of 450 seats, giving it a huge majority. The Communist party won 57 seats with 11.57 per cent of the ballots. The Liberal Democratic Party secured 40 seats in parliament with 8.14 per cent. The Fair Russia party, slightly behind, took 38 seats with 7.74 per cent.
