“Putin shaped Russia’s political decade”

Vladimir Putin is the man who shaped Russia’s political style in the decade after Yeltsin, says Christian Science Monitor correspondent Fred Weir.

”It is his character, his sort of very measured, competent – again not democratic, not open – but also not capricious the way Yeltsin was. His style has more than anything else shaped our decade,” he said.
