"Medvedev-Obama meeting is a breakthrough"

The real result of the meeting of the two presidents on two resolutions remains unnoticed, says political analyst Aleksandr Pikaev from the Committee of Scientists for Global Security.

“One of them was that the US declined to put pressure on having Georgia and Ukraine in NATO, and secondly it is all about the Czech Republic and Poland. The Obama administration, as we understand – but probably we are wrong – was not very enthusiastic about that.”
