Final opinion poll suggests Duma seats for four parties

Monday is the last day that opinion polls for next month's Duma elections can be made public. With five days to go, RT reveals the results from two research centres.

According to a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VTSIOM), about 62% of respondents voiced support for the pro-presidential United Russia party. About 62% of respondents voiced support for the pro-presidential United Russia party. The Communist party came a distant second – with about 12%. The Liberal Democratic Party gained 8%, while Fair Russia took 7%. Smaller parties like the Union of Right Forces look unlikely to get 2% of the vote.Meanwhile, a separate survey by the Levada research group shows an even greater lead for United Russia. It puts the party  on 67%. In the Levada survey, the Communist party were on 14%, the Liberal Democrats on 6% and Fair Russia on 4%. Just 1% said they would vote for the Union of Right Forces.
