Two children have been killed and two other people injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Black Sea port of Tuapse, a senior regional official has said. The victims were aged five and 14.

Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev wrote on Telegram on Thursday that an apartment block and five houses were damaged in what he described as “a massive UAV attack.”

Kondratyev added that “many fragments” fell on unnamed industrial sites near the city’s seaport, while drones also damaged a house in the village of Loo, outside Sochi.

Telegram news channels reported drone attacks on other cities along the coast, including Anapa, Gelendzhik, and Sochi, which hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics. Ukraine has frequently targeted port infrastructure and energy facilities, as well as tankers and cargo ships.

Russia has accused Ukraine of using Western-supplied weapons and equipment, including drones, to target civilians. On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry released what it said was a list of European companies involved in manufacturing military drones for Kiev.

“Instead of strengthening the security of European states, the moves of European leaders are increasingly dragging these countries into the war with Russia,” the ministry said.
