NASA’s legendary flight director Christopher Kraft dies aged 95

One of the key figures behind NASA’s early space programs and the agency’s first flight director, Christopher Kraft, has died on Monday at age 95, the American space agency confirmed.

“He was a space legend who created the concept of mission control during the early human spaceflight program and made it an integral part of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions,” NASA said in a statement.
