German Chancellor Angela Merkel will host UK Prime Minister Theresa May for talks on Tuesday. The meeting comes on the eve of a crucial EU summit in which May is hoping to convince the bloc to grant her a new Brexit extension to June 30. The chancellor and the British PM will have an exchange of views on the UK’s exit from the EU, as well as on Wednesday’s special summit of the European Council, Merkel’s spokesman Steffen Seibert said. French President Emmanuel Macron will host Theresa May for Brexit talks at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Tuesday evening, a presidency official said.
