Gunmen stormed a building close to a National Directorate of Security (NDS) military training center in Qala-e-Wazir in Kabul on Thursday. The fighting lasted 6 hours and ended after three insurgents involved were killed, TOLO News quoted Interior Minister Wais Barmak as saying. Gunmen reportedly entrenched themselves in a building that was under construction, and security forces cordoned off the area and evacuated residents in the area. Police said earlier three people had been wounded in the clash, and at least two explosions were heard. On Wednesday, a police source in Baghlan said that at least 35 Afghan National Army (ANA) officers and ten policemen were killed when the Taliban attacked a military base in Baghlan-e-Markazi district.
