Police in Canada have charged a man over the deaths of four people, including two police officers, in a shooting at an apartment complex in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on Friday. Matthew Vincent Raymond, 48, faces four counts of first degree murder, police said on Saturday, while declining to release information on the motive or the weapon used. Raymond is currently being treated in hospital for injuries sustained during an altercation with police, CTV reported. Although gun laws are stricter in Canada than in the US, the country has seen an increase in gun-related crimes in recent years.
