Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with his North Korean counterpart Ri Yong-ho in Tehran on Tuesday, on the same day the US re-imposed nuclear-related sanctions on the Islamic Republic, AFP reported. Zarif welcomed Ri and a team of officials at the Foreign Ministry in Iran’s capital, but no statement was made to reporters. Ri is on a two-day visit to Tehran, and is due to meet with President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday.
