North Korea hands over remains of US soldiers killed in 1950s war

The remains of American soldiers killed during the 1950-53 Korean War have been turned over by North Korea to the US, the White House has announced. Earlier, Korean media reported that a US military plane was sent to North Korea to receive the remains. The symbolic gesture was part of the agreement reached by US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during their meeting in Singapore.
