Putin to visit S. Africa for BRICS summit in July – Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit South Africa for a summit of BRICS countries on July 26-27, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday. During the tenth, jubilee summit, he will have working meetings with the heads of Brazil, India, China and South Africa, according to the statement. The leaders will consider the state of, and prospects for, cooperation within the BRICS in different areas. Topical issues of the world and the regional agenda will also be discussed, including the problems of joint counteraction against modern challenges and threats, the statement said.
